It's been a crazy and fun week with Boosterthon here. We are excited that our school is able to participate in such a fun school fundraiser. Here are a few pictures of the students getting pumped to help our school. Of course we have had fun learning too! Check out some of the things we did this week!

Hello Families,
It’s that time again and today we kicked off the Sope Creek Fun Run! Here’s how you can help...
1. Register your child at funrun.com using your school code: 371-521. Your child will receive their first reward for just registering!
2. Help connect your child with 10 different sponsors and enter their pledges on funrun.com.
3. Join us as we celebrate as a team at the Sope Creek Fun Run, Wednesday, Aug. 26th.
Thanks again parents. We greatly appreciate all your help.

Welcome Koalas!
Hello Koalas of 2015-2016! I am so happy to begin this new school year with you! I have so many fun things planned for us. I can not wait to meet everyone on Thursday at Meet and Greet. New beginnings are always so exciting! You might feel a little nervous too, but that's ok. I feel that way too! As I was sitting in trainings today I was thinking of all the wonderful things this year has in store for us. This year I want you to not only learn 1st grade standards, but to learn how to dream, have fun, be excited, ask questions, make your own goals, be happy, be engaged, take ownership in your own learning, value self worth, be curious, explore, be open minded, have a voice, have purpose, be motivated, feel good and most importantly to take chances! I want to help guide you, be your role model, and at times your hero. I want you to know that even before I meet you I already know that “You is kind. You is smart. You is important.” A quote taken from one of my favorite books written by Kathryn Stockett's The Help. Get ready for tomorrow because your new teacher is excited to meet you!
