Differentiation

All students have different learning needs. I love when I can create different activities for groups to meet the needs of each student!

August Birthdays

We had fun celebrating two birthdays in August!

Tornados and More

This week we have been learning about weather!  Students have loved doing mini experiments each day. We even made our own tornadoes!

STEM

Thank you parents for sending in STEM pictures! For our first STEM lesson, we learned which each letter in the word STEM represents. We then sorted the pictures and worked in groups to glue the pictures on each letter on butcher paper. This was a great lesson to teach students how to work on communication and collaboration skills!

Apple Orchard "Field Trip"

This quarter we are working on personal narratives. A personal narrative is a writing based on an experience. This week we decided to create an experience for the students to go on an apple orchard 'field trip.' The students gathered their baskets and climbed their ladders to pick red and green apples. Students then tasted their apples. Afterwards students wrote about their experience. From the smiles on their faces, I think they had fun creating a memory together! These writings will be posted outside in our hallway for all to view so, come by and check it out!
